November 23 Lesson Recap

Too busy to connect with God? Today we were reminded that God cares about our relationship with Him even more than we are able to, and He will do His part to "seek each of us out" (Luke 15) - even when we're at our busiest and don't seem to have time for Him. So look for God in the small things and in the big moments of life. He's there, He wants to share, and He can give you insights through it all. Staying open to His presence and love can make any moment a "time to connect" with God.

If you think of any other "connection times" you've had (where God has reached out to you as you went about your life) - or if you experience that this week - tell us about it using the comment section!

Next week: We will be talking about our responsibility to reach out to God; how to make time, take time, and how to make the most of that time! We need your practical ideas so come prepared to share general time saving tips, study methods, prayer time ideas, ways to set priorities in life, etc.

Have a great week!

November 16 Lesson Recap

Busy? Most of us can relate to Martha (Lk 10:38-42) when she felt overwhelmed with a long list of things to get done made even worse from a sense that no one else seemed to care. Today, we followed Christ through a day in his life and found that He had a few "overwhelming" days himself. We read Mathew 14:13-36 and considered the emotional, mental and physical strain Jesus must have been under that day, yet he keep seeing and meeting needs. We also saw how Jesus looked for refuge and strength by seeking quiet time, which he was finally able to make happen. Conclusion: Jesus understands the busyness of our lives. He can relate to our emotionally, mentally and physically draining days. At times it may seem as if no one cares, but Christ not only cares, He understands. And he can help - as we'll see in up-coming lessons!
